- Active Registered Life Planner® has earned the Registered Life Planner® designation and continues to keep their skills sharp by regularly attending continuing education sessions (8 hours/2 years).
- Registered Life Planner® designation requires completion of The Seven Stages of Money Maturity® Training (16 hours), immersion in the EVOKE® Life Planning Training (36-40 hours), and a six-month practicum which involves peer review, mentorship, coaching, and supervision (40-50 hours).
- EVOKE® Life Planning Training Graduate has attended a 4-day online or a 5-day residential course on a planning method that uses a structured interview process to uncover clients’ most exciting, meaningful, and fulfilling aspirations and engage them in the work of creating their own vibrant futures, based on a solid financial architecture.
- The Seven Stages of Money Maturity® Training Graduate has attended a 2-day course that teaches listening, principles of communication, and client-planner attitudes, values, biases, and behavioral characteristics and their impact on financial planning.

About My Practice
The Center for Financial Planning is celebrating its 25th anniversary as a firm, and currently serves approximately 700 families with its staff of 20. We do comprehensive wealth management, incorporating all client resources to create an individualized plan for reaching personal and financial goals.
Dan works primarily with high net-worth (>$1,000,000) individuals, executives, families, professionals and retirees. Typically, clients are open to reflecting on what is truly important and most meaningful in their lives, and then taking a structured approach to achieving the life to which they aspire.
Daniel H. Boyce, CFP®, is a founding partner of the Center for Financial Planning in Southfield, MI. Mr. Boyce received his Certified Financial Planner® designation in 1983 and his Registered Life Planner® designation in 2005. Dan is a graduate of the University of Michigan, receiving his BA in 1974 and his MA in 1979. He is a Registered Principal of Raymond James Financial Services. A well-known planner in the Detroit area, Mr. Boyce has been cited by both Money Magazine and Worth Magazine as one of the nation’s top financial advisors. He currently serves as a Fellow of the Institute for Sustainable Social Change at Prescott College in Prescott, AZ.
Dan is a past president of the Michigan Chapter of Certified Financial Planners, and is the immediate past chair of the Board of Trustees of Prescott College in Prescott, AZ. Mr. Boyce is the Minister of Music Emeritus at his church and has been active in several Detroit area non-profits.
