About My Practice
AKFP Group is not your traditional financial planning firm. We are Financial Life Planners, as the whole point of financial planning for us is to enable you to get the most out of life.
Life Planning is a powerful process of establishing and focusing on what really matters to you. It underpins everything we do at AKFP.
About Roger Kennedy
Roger started in the financial services industry in 1988 with the Halifax Building Society, and soon realised that he liked client interaction and found financial services interesting and rewarding. To develop his knowledge base, he got a job in 1992 with a major pensions provider as a Consultant, where he received great technical training.
In early 1995, Andrew Aiken and Roger discussed establishing a financial planning practice, initially to service the clients of Andrew’s accountancy practice but with the business plan to develop this further. Roger and Andrew got the business up and running in July 1995, and many years later here they still are.
He is married with three daughters, and owns one (female) dog, so at times feels very outnumbered! Any spare time out of the office is spent in lycra on his bike! Roger is also Youth Coach and Youth Coordinator at Lisnagarvey Hockey Club and is Business Adviser to the YENI Company Programme.
He is driven by the belief that there is always a better way to do something
We tend to work with business owners/professionals, retirees and trustees. Our carefully designed process fits well with their requirements.
