A bit about the firm: The F.I. in Brooklyn FI stands for Financial Independence. The central idea at the core of our planning practice is that money is just a tool to live your best life.
We specialize in business planning for creatives and navigating the complications of equity compensation for tech professionals. Whether you’ve got RSUs, ISOs, Non-qualified options, or something funky, we have deep tax knowledge to help navigate a diversification strategy.
We know something most financial advisors and planners don’t know—that a passion is more important than a salary. We like to think that we specialize in turning side-hustles into nest eggs.

About Ally Ayers
AJ Ayers, CFP, EA is a financial planner in Brooklyn, New York. She specializes in financial planning services for small and medium business owners, creatives, tech professionals with equity compensation, and professional women.
Ideal Clients
The ideal Brooklyn FI client is between age 25 and 45 and is passionate about their career. A lot of our clients work in tech and we combine the Kinder Life Planning approach with highly technical tax planning to guide them through the roller coaster of an IPO.
Compensation
We're a fee-only firm. We value transparency and our fees are listed right on our website: www.brooklynfi.com/prices. We charge a monthly retainer that INCLUDES tax filing and offer asset management as a separate service.
