Transition planning, which many of our clients consider retirement planning. We find meaning with long term relationships to guide them through other transitions, like aging in place, divorce, decline in health, children, and college planning

About My Practice
Heintz Wealth Management is a financial life planning and investment management firm that takes a unique approach to first understand what’s most important to each client, and then provide strategic plans in an effort to align financial resources with lifelong goals. Inspired by practices from the Kinder Institute of Life Planning, our Financial Life Planning process guides individuals and families as they connect their money to their time, talent and energy in meaningful ways — with financial plans that speak to the person as a whole; not just the facts and figures.

About Edward 'Bud' Heintz
Bud Heintz is the Founder and President of Heintz Wealth Management in Scottsdale, Arizona. As a Registered Life Planner and a Certified Financial Planner™, Bud brings nearly three decades of financial experience to the helm of the firm. He builds tailored plans that align with long-term goals and experiences while building strong relationships with each of his clients. Bud is passionate about all things investing and keeps a close watch on market trends to deliver ideal strategies that lead to equally ideal outcomes for his clients. His strengths, insights and expertise drive the firm’s ability to execute robust financial plans through an investment process that focuses on achieving lifelong goals and clients’ respective desires. Prior to launching Heintz Wealth in 2014, Bud co-founded and oversaw a boutique wealth management firm in Phoenix that provided financial planning and investment advisory services to high-net-worth individuals and families. He also held numerous positions with Fidelity Investments, first trading individual bonds and options, then providing personalized investment guidance. He also worked for Charles Schwab, exclusively providing high-net-worth clients with comprehensive financial plans. Bud earned his Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. He is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Greater Phoenix and former President of the Board of Directors. When not helping clients reach well-rounded financial solutions, Bud lives and plays in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has a son and daughter who are active both in and out of school. He loves the outdoors and is usually found hiking or biking on the weekends. Bud also has a private pilot’s license

Ideal Clients
Our ideal client seeks out living their most fulfilled life, with an desire to understand their own connections to wealth and live out their values, dreams and visions. They also desire delegating some or all of the responsibility of investment management and cash management. We work across generations of families, with a focus on individuals and couples near or beyond their working years.

Compensation
Heintz Wealth Management is fee-only, meaning all our compensation comes from our clients. Fees are paid as a percentage of assets under management, a flat annual planning fee, an overall flat fee, or by the hour/project. We believe we can reduce conflicts of interest by not receiving fees or compensation from other sources. We primarily custody client assets at Fidelity Investments Institutional (Fidelity Clearing and Custody Services). We work with DPL Financial Partners to provide risk management solutions in insurance and annuities.
